Last Steel Train to 2019 Alamaze Championship
The Alamaze Championship invitees will be determined when this game is complete, so likely early December.
The 12 players in the Championship will be determined first, by podium points for a given kingdom (not cumulative across kingdoms) in Steel Maelstrom Games, where a gold is 3 points, a silver 2 points, a bronze 1 point. Ties will be broken by status points earned for that qualifying kingdom. A player who would qualify for more than one kingdom (has most podium points with each of two or more kingdoms) can choose which kingdom he wishes to rule in the Championship. It is possible a 12th player may not have a podium position, in which case order of invitation is status points by that player for his highest kingdom still undrafted.
Regional selection will be in order of total Maelstrom podium points for all kingdoms played in Steel games, ties broken by total single kingdom status points.
Caveat for this "Last Steel Train" is if this game fills before 72 hours, so 2pm Tuesday September 24, and there is more interest expressed for those who didn't get in, there will be another thread started for a Steel game and if that fills by Friday, 7PM, then that game will also have finishes counted for the Championship.
I don't believe we have a Valhalla page that ranks players this way, so it may take some work to identify who is eligible and the order of selection. Vball Michael has been handy with this sort of thing before.
There is no setup charge for the Championship, and the winner is of course, worshipped as a god, immortalized, and tales are told to generations of offspring across Alamaze about the Champion's exploits. Also the winner gets $100 in Alamaze credit, silver gets $50 in credit, and bronze $25.
That is for the Championship game. This game is straight, no diplomacy (Silent) Steel.
Post for draft position with your persona. Now. Again, if this fills before Tuesday 2pm we will have one more final opportunity to get a podium position or add to points for qualifying for the Championship if that game also fills by 7PM Friday.
