Not agree must actually ally in game.   So I cannot talk to IL until he allies with me.

So I need to put in the order to declare the CM an ally and the next turn we're allowed to talk on the side? I'd be interested in that Senior Tactician

If you are both declaring this turn, you can exchange emails and begin communicating off the forum.  You should not be communicating off the forum if you are not declaring each other allies this turn.  I don't believe you have to wait until the turn processes where you become allies.  As long as you will both do it this turn you can begin communicating.  

Someone correct me if I am wrong!

I am very late in responding to the turn 4 request.  I also wanted to propose an alliance.  If we declare each other as allies, I have a tiny bit of info that might benefit you in the early stage that you may not know just yet regarding your territory.  Let me know if you wish to have an early alliance and revisit it as the game progresses.

Hi neighbor.  I have been thinking about getting an ally since so many around us have decided to couple.  1/2 pint has been flirting with me, mentioning his drony, but we still have not reached first base on our date.  It would be a sad to think of the short one sitting in the corner alone at the dance.
I did, however,  just finish another party with the Painted one so I am up for a new partner.  Could I ride a dragon?

I say yes and still he moves on. It's like the dances at middle school all over again.

*sniff* I don't feel slighted in the least. *sniff sniff* I'm fine. I wasn't looking forward to your Lizasauras at all. *sniff* I know I am not as flashy or fancy as a dragon. I mean, I still get super excited about my Drony. Hey, maybe that's how we can move forward with things! You can send me a gift so that I have something to remember our almost-partnership by! Oh, that's an exciting prospect! I don't need another Drony, just so you know. Did you hear (s)he's named Crimson?! We still don't know gender and the teeth keep us from checking. 

Anyways, I look forward to your "thanks but no thanks" present. I have a whole collection. The only one I didn't keep was from the Tyrant, who thought it would be appropriate to send me a hand-carved phallus made from a mammoth tusk he found embedded in one of his trolls. I'm not sure what was worse, the gift itself (it was wrinkly!!) or the windowless white van that delivered it. I think it was on the way back from some political protest because it had "Free Candee" painted on it. Is Candee a place? A person? Either way, it seems he feels very strongly about its freedom. 

I haven't given up hope that we can find out way back to each other in the future, but I wish you well and only mild bouts of gas on your dragon rides.

I have put in an ally order as well.  I'm not sure if we are allowed to directly communicate until our alliance is run through the turn?

As I shared with Shadow Above, if both parties have agreed to ally and submitted turns to do so, I don't see why we can't. To not ally and begin communicating would go against the communication rules, but we have been clear. We have both submitted orders with ally declarations, and we are hiding nothing. If there was an issue with it I would have thought someone would have said so already.
