The was a definite Underworldly influence on the architecture. Must have been all the agents.
Weren’t no agents they were busy slaughtering my peaceful emmies and agents.. smh
Yes indeed. DE came in hot and left barely warm. My dungeons were filled to bursting with crying Demons.

RD off the top of my head, hopefully accurate.
Reds are tough to play in a silent game. I realized their limitations after my last try. Having analyzed the map at the onset, poor Brek was a sitting duck. I hired a high priestess on four, divined Krynn on six, and moved on seven. I know the dragons can recon an entire region in two turns flying around, but I wanted the element of surprise. I decided to turn my weaknesses into strengths, and took a baron adept and influence with my customization. Didnt work out as the adept failed the rite five times. Is that a record? After invading Krynn early and grabbing my ESO, i was positioned with an army over 100,000, three top emmies, five barons, and my second power three, as my first had perished taking Brek’s city again. Think it was turn 10 i lost 2 barons in a village to early kidnap, which keyed me in that the UN was watching. He had not made a move on me yet, but that signaled his intentions.
Just as krynn seemed under control, Canticar made a great move, which I never recovered from. He invaded perfectly, lots of hidden emmies, a little army while i was in Krynn. While the dragons are severely limited on food, they are not limited on flight. Flew back home to Zanthia, jumped on five or six pops that Canticar had taken, took I think 3 of his emmies in the process, but lost Krynn. Finally had a stroke of luck finding hidden DU cap after six turns of searching. Three level four agents and at least two patrols, the hidden cap was one of four spaces in Krynn I had not searched.
Total control of Zanthia was quickly followed by Krynn. Defense of Stormgate was only about 85,000, so i made the next part of the plan. Take Stormgate and pick a region that seemed vulnerable. I moved all emmies to the south of Zanthia, and moved on Stormgate. I knew that would invoke the Pirate, and having played in the game Acerark had won as the PI, i figured i better win quick. Analyzed the board best as I could, helped greatly by a palantir and scroll. What an advantage being able to look at four pops far away. I could see the turmoil in Untamed through regional reports, and had been watching the three regions go back and forth a bit (untamed, pellinor, and mythgar). The turn i moved on Stormgate, Pellinor had shifted back to Total control for LI i think, and the city in Mythgar had become AM cap. I figured AM was weaker, had a weak capital, so I flooded Mythgar. Unfortunately, so did the Ty and AM. With all those armies around, i thought it was not going to be long before I lost a ton of emmies. Also, think it was this turn UN showed his colors, and PI of course came into Krynn. The little I had left in Krynn was defenseless. I second guess moving into Mythgar, as PI was Natural target having upset him, but he had been left alone for about 20 turns, lived on the water, and comes with a hidden cap. Triumvia was an option, but Demon had plenty of time to develop as well, so I was hoping to catch a war torn region by surprise. I knew if I didnt win now it was over for me. Quick meaningless fight with the TY, quick cap of AM capital which got me up to substantial in Mythgar for one turn, and at the same time I was losing Krynn. It was over at this point as UN was moving in quickly. Hasty retreat back to Krynn to provide targets for the UN and PI to capture, and I didn't do much thereafter. Got my power five wizard, and the one turn i needed him for dispel dome, when i was sitting on a UN town with five ridiculously high agents, like 18 and above, i forgot to cast the spell. Aaaaargh! That was my last hope. They picked me apart as soon as he found my hidden cap in Krynn.
My plan was to win fast or go out having fun, and well, it was fun at least. Thanks Canticar for ruining the plan, Acererak and Painted for kidnapping all my stuff, and congrats and well played to all!

Nice write up Uncle. You never mentioned your fight with my LI in the swamp town of Mythgar. Maybe you thought I was TY? You cost me 47% of my army and it took me 3 wasted turns to recover. You lost 30% as I recall. Those elite dragons were really tough.

I was having trouble sleeping last night, and whipped that up off top of my head. Sure you are correct, not me. I figured I was down there might as well hit someone!

For the Podium placements in the 2019 Alamaze Championships, send a note to support as to how you want your winnings (respectively, $100, $50, $25) applied. Again, congratulations on being a top player in the first year of Maelstrom.
