I had the money and p9 got me the crack the sky spell. Taking Stormgate for my 4th region was a distant thought but the p9 with 25% stacking fear would have helped make it a piece of cake. My army group had 43 brigades with many multipliers but at games end it was just a gun in the holster and too late on the draw.

lol, sorry man. But hey, you didn't make it easy for anybody. I was waiting to see if maybe the SO would want to try and control Nyvaria, he would have to either take my water castle, or your capitol and it looks like he didn't want any part of that... neither did I, although I did consider it.

The new Gnomes don't have the spy network. I think it used to make them more fun.
(SO) Congrats WA on the win. I missed the last turn and that's a bummer but I don't think it would have mattered. It's odd to be second place and have 15K more status points but so is the way it goes.

And I really couldn’t care less, but when my AM is attacked by three kingdoms simultaneously I feel something amiss, even if it was coincidental. Let see you saw everything going on in two areas you had no influence in at all? (Your words not mine). I launched an attack into CI territory and the next turn.... maybe two, I have PI hitting me on pops in both regions, and CI on other pops. Never both on same pops? Maybe coincidence? And again not saying it was anything other than... Just from my perspective. then the WA starts sea patrolling and not merchant trading? Hum must of not needed the gold, I mean he isn’t the PI garnishing booty by patrolling? So yeah, I dropped, but no worries.
My CI started with a water capital and found a second water town right away so it was in a good position. I saw your army coming when an eagle familiar I was using to patrol my borders picked up the AM armies massing on my borders. From their position, it was very evident they were going for my major city. So I amassed my whole army there and waited for him in the trees. Two turns later he did not disappoint, and I was able to defend Imeril easily. I had also lined up my politicals to counter his attack by flooding southern Darkover with my Emms. Seeing as how his northern ones were out of reach of my PCs.
Just two turns after being invaded by the AM I was also invaded by the PI. So there were no cooperations between us as he attacked me before he attacked you. I also ended up fighting him through the end of the game as well as defending myself against the WA. I was able to Take Darkover with emms, from both the AM and the PI but I had no Armies left to defend it.
My Army had been defending against the PI and had defended Imeril for 4 turns. I was simply trying to delay the PI's massive army long enough to put up some legendaries and greater castles on all my water PC's.
I was careful to protect at least one elite brigade and I had just finished recruiting another army and I had emms in place to break WA hold on Darkiver just as the game ended.
Congrats to the WA on a well played win.

I took everything but the GN Capital and your water town at one point and it wasn't enough. With a greater castle on your water town- and a legendary castle on the GN capital it couldn't be done.
The game devolved in the end to me to who could build the most legendary castles. I was producing 1.7 million food per turn at the end. My capital alone produced 1.2 Million.
Crazy.

I hate to squeal, but those that were around at the playtest for Maelstrom, and it's still on the forum, were saying, Ry Vor, we are all going to starve to death. Then we hear about 1 million food.
