lol, sorry man.  But hey, you didn't make it easy for anybody.  I was waiting to see if maybe the SO would want to try and control Nyvaria, he would have to either take my water castle, or your capitol and it looks like he didn't want any part of that... neither did I, although I did consider it.

I took everything but the GN Capital and your water town at one point and it wasn't enough. With a greater castle on your water town- and a legendary castle on the GN capital it couldn't be done.

The game devolved in the end to me to who could build the most legendary castles. I was producing 1.7 million food per turn at the end. My capital alone produced 1.2 Million.

Crazy.

I hate to squeal, but those that were around at the playtest for Maelstrom, and it's still on the forum, were saying, Ry Vor, we are all going to starve to death.  Then we hear about 1 million food.

THE AN in that one had twice as much food.  But I only finished 4th.  The numbers get lost at the bottom but the food is 3,280, 594 and I don't think that is the highest ever in Maelsrtom by any means.  RY Vor is right, if you can get bounty going and hold your area food is no problem.  Players have adapted to the food demand.

Yeah that’s great unless your bounty doesn’t fire 1 out of 6 times (75%).. can put you behind the 8 ball sometimes. Smile

I think you need to trade in your wand.

As the WA noted, I had a remarkable run on Bounty, seems like I got it to go 10 or so times in a row. And the AN has the plow so no fair. My capital would have produced 3.6 Million food per turn by itself if I had that one.

In the interest of full disclosure, there has been a time or two when building the bounty income was so important I have put an extra wizard to work on it just in case one failed.  It's rare that I would do that and not if it was really going to take away from something else really important.  If getting the bounty income is crucial to your game it might be worth the extra effort.  I know when it fails about 3 times out of 5 you can get left in the dust.

I cast Bounty a couple times, it was kinda cool.  But, Specters don't eat.  They do like to pretend to eat, they like to play with food.  I had in standing orders to give them double, since I was usually hostile in pretty much every region they went to and all the peasants hated them so much... it kept their "spirits" up.  Big Grin

I may have mentioned this, but I doubt most people read my whole post.  The SO food production was ridiculously high in spite of the fact that I destroyed practically his entire region, leaving only 3 PCs.  There was literally no stopping that food production.  Bounty is definitely a solid choice even in land-locked regions where you are likely to have your PCs "culled" a bit. I would not have thought that, another lesson learned.

I think Rick is fixing some of the food production. I finished my last game producing over 4 million food Smile.
