I am thinking it's on the player.    Come on, DuPont.  You can do it.
I am actually the highest scoring player with the SA in maelstrom (though that's not saying much). But their troops are expensive doo doo for a 'great' military kingdom.

Yes, either stronger or less expensive next time.  They should be as strong as any, but only in the plains.  You can't go into the mountains.  You have to use the advantages of the Devout trait.  I'll leave it there, you are an excellent player, I'm sure you get it.  You might even just be trying to setup your neighbors for all I know.   Wink

DOWN WITH DUPONT!

Why does everyone assume I’m just going to attack them? Sad Painted Man is sad.

Just to expand before I go on to more mundane tasks, The Sacred Order should only fear in certain circumstances, the Red Dragon while in plains.  Even the Amazon should hesitate against an equivalent force.  Rangers as well.  After that, you win.  I mean, assuming you've gotten even better leaders, veteran or elite brigades, which shouldn't be hard since turn 0.  Each kingdom plays differently.  Consider which region you put them in, and what that implies.

Meanwhile, I applaud your bravery, good sir.

You could have the champions expound on that: I assume they would tell you they play very differently.  I think the Gnomes are strong, but of course, I love all my children.
