Anyone want to make this a special game? Something like every kingdom only has a single pwr-8 wizard (i.e. court wizard) at their service? Or something else to make it more interesting. Let me know...

Something special like a power 8 would be nice. Would everyone be limited to the one power 8 the whole game?

Depends on the rules. “Only has a power 8” seems to imply that is all you get. Not really fair to the guy that selected NE 1st overall.
“Has one additional power 8” seems pretty cool, but this needs to be clarified before people select. I would suggest instead that only I get an additional power 8, and after the game is over I can give a synopsis and let others know if it made my experience better or worse.

Well, this game is yours so let me know what you want done but keep it simple. I don't want to break anything at game startup.
I was thinking of a single pwr-8 and no other wizards to give a different kind of experience for everyone. Like a powerful court wizard at your service. It could be cool to try out but it would put wizard kingdoms at a disadvantage for sure so a different kingdom selection would probably be needed.
Or you guys can decide to just increase the level of your highest wizard to 8th level from the start of the game and just go with that idea. But would that make wizard kingdoms too powerful? I don't know.
Or as suggested earlier, to make this more of a war game type of appeal, no wizards at all and increase kingdom brigades and companions.
This is your game so let me know if you want to spice it up a bit...
