Changed Steel 5625
Ok, Free Traders, got it.

Folks are focusing that I complained about 6 on 1, while in Game 5624 someone dropped because of 2 on 1. So please don't limit this to me.
People should go after the leader, but as someone else pointed out, that does not happen consistently.
And it does not explain how 4 kingdoms can attack at the same time with groups and emissaries and have none of them land at the same pop center as another attacker.

Maybe so, I'm sorry my comments offended, I enjoy having you in the game.  It irritates me too, when hit by multi kingdoms..... Smile

Fair enough. Emotions run high sometimes. I enjoy playing you also.

Ok, been fun. Lost 2 regions this turn and losing Stormgate this coming turn. And the Elf put up a great defense, including two really well-developed and defended PCs. Nice job, Elf.
Just too many enemies chewing up my emmies and other resources. I will play it out, but I am pretty much defeated.

Well  our Demons did our duty and took a region from those big old Giants.  Now we have 3 regions and are leading the pack, at least at the moment.  We thought about making a run for the win but it seems like more fun to camp out and see what happens.  There are so many things that have yet to be tried.

Here I am with 6 attackers and none of whom I attacked. And all 4 of the current attackers are the bottom 4 in the game for status points so that really just helps the 2nd and 3rd place players, and none are landing at the same place ever, so there you have it. I realize I have been gone from Alamaze for a bit, so thanks for the team welcome back.  And the FT taking multiple pop centers is not in line with the previous advertisement.

Hiya,

Just a reminder you declared me an enemy and kidnaped my agent BEFORE I made any move against you. Just saying.

When possible, it seems most people try to prevent the leader from winning outright.  I actually think your problem lies with the new five region to declare victory rule.  The giant typically would have won this game (although I doubt others would have let them get this far if four regions was the rule).  Five regions is hard for anyone, and I do not think we will see many victories of that fashion. As a player that prefers wizards, this scenario is perfect, as it keeps warrior kingdoms from stomping all over everyone and declaring victory on T15, which I have seen twice.  Of course, I know what would happen if I had started in untamed as the Necro….gone on T4. We all take risks in selecting kingdoms, it is the beauty of the game.

I have to disagree with the point that people go after the leading player.  In the championship game it became apparent brekk was going to run away with it.  I made some mistakes and wasn't even able to hold on to lord Garth's capital for long.  Lord garth never even lost control of his region.  Despite this, Dupont and habeus Corpus both double teamed me even they both had borders with brekk and neither was a contender for winning themselves.  It would make sense to go after the leader but that doesn't seem to be a consistent motivation.

Your forgetting I had legendaries on every town, and 11 wizards defending them with Domes.  I didn't win via regions I won via points, and intentionally kept myself behind in point until after turn 36.  So never ahead in the game until the final bell.  Just food for thought.

Well I must be a smarter player than I thought because I saw you were going to win before I was double teamed.  Lord garth and i each had one on turn 34 when the amazons attacked me you had three regions.  Garth and i had one each and were fighting eachother.  Dupont joined him the next turn.  Any experienced player knows that if a wizard kingdom is doing well near the end they are going to explode in points as they build up legendary castles and other pc improvements for victory points. Happens frequently enough that it's fairly predictable.  As someone else said, bounty, legendary,  repeat till game won.  If it were me I would have gone after your pcs that were vulnerable.   Also emissaries are always vulnerable.   And Dupont had wizards he could have dispelled domes or killed wizards with.  He didn't want to lose them?  Why?  Saving them for taking out the third place player while and/or to protect his seventh place finish?

Why did Dupont double team me with Ruingurth in a confederate game after that?  A game that I still had a chance in until you dropped even though you had a strong position still.

Would you like a truce? You get out of Nyvaria and I stay out of the Untamed Lands?

I'm torn on this one since I am going to lose my capitol again and will be down to one region, so I was thinking I would just go out with big battles and much machismo. But, your idea makes more sense. Allow my groups and emmies to leave this turn, and I will do the same for Untamed Lands. We cannot do a NAP in this game, but we can certainly do a cease-fire for a bit to catch our breaths and see what needs doing.
So, I agree to to your truce, albeit we cannot keep it on indefinitely in this game.
