Live your life so that the fear of death can never enter your heart, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes, they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.

Do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around Lord Garth. You will feel better in just a moment.

Lord Garth, who has encountered several issues in receiving turns, has an AOL account.
AOL.... Really .. is your 386 capable of getting internet on its 14k baud modem?

Over the years, we've seen that the common denominator of not receiving turns is due to the player's email provider. Players who have gmail accounts encounter very few issues, if any, in receiving turns and we've advised players several times to use gmail instead (as well as google chrome browser for entering orders, which also has the least amount of problems).

The problem is not on our end. We send out the turns as we normally do. Even with that last turn debacle.
That being said, the last turn issue however may be resolved to a certain extent on our end because we save the game files in an archive when the game finishes (and the kingdom turn report file may have moved to the archive directory if the player's email provider is slow to respond to our server's request to accept it). I've tried adding delays and other countermeasures regarding moving the server files to help with timing issues of our server with the player's email provider (with server lag, network connectivity, and such) but the problem persists.
A redesign of the game's closing procedures (cleaning up the server files, SQL database, Valhalla records, etc.) could be looked into by the new owner to help improve the situation of the various email provider companies and their policies. Rick suggested to have another website where players may continue to access their game files for weeks after a game finishes, but that would require creating another website (like Valhalla, Game Queue, etc.), which is a certain amount of work if the developer has time. Multiple ways to go about the internet delays and server lag with other providers, we'll see what the new owner(s) will do... :>
Could you not change the software to display the last turn on the web page as it does for the other turns?

"The problem is not on our end."
C'mon, Mike. This happens to multiple players who I'm sure have various different carriers and all reliably and consistently receive lots of emails from lots of people every day. But this is not always so with Alamaze. The problem is on your end.
It's never been a big deal because we can always pull our turn off the site. But then T40 of Game 5643 happened. That was a few weeks ago, you have been made aware of it, and I have still not yet received my turn.
