**Bararod Jhaan, the Furious Werewolf King:**
Have you both taken my patience for granted, Free Traders and Sacred Order? The silence that echoes in response to my words fuels a wrath that can no longer be contained.
I offered you a choice, a chance to avoid the impending storm, and yet you have ignored my warning. Your indifference stokes the fires of my anger, and I shall unleash the fury of my pack upon you without hesitation.
My armies, formidable and relentless, shall descend upon yours like a tempest, and you shall taste the bitter consequences of your arrogance. Stormgate will become your tomb, and the moonlit night your eternal shroud.
Let it be known that it was your silence that sealed your fate, and my wrath shall be swift and unyielding.
With a roar of fury that shakes the very foundations of the earth,
Bararod Jhaan, the Furious Werewolf King

Sorcerer King, mind your words, for even your feeble magic may not shield you from the wrath of the moon. Watch your tongue, lest you become a mere footnote in our howling saga.

Cimmerians - Turn #5
Game 5712
Full Diplomacy Game
All of the real action is happening in other kingdoms. Tedium is the word of the turn month, here in the Cimmerians' kingdom.
As I begin issuing turn orders for the next turn, Turn #6, I once again am faced with reality of a gold-starved kingdom. With just 3 orders issued, I am down to less than four thousand gold. So much for issuing an order for my king, this turn. Which, in turn, means that there will be no increasing my king's influence,t his turn, nor enamoring a region. Somebody out there want to tell me why I am playing this kingdom?
There doesn't seem to have been much point in gaining control of population centers and a region. My gut instinct is to just drop this game, and be done with this gold-starved kingdom.
I had signed up for two more games of Alamaze. I have now withdraw from those.
Somebody wake me when the next turn for this kingdom processes.

Maximus,
You have the ability to use the order wintering troops (Issue 1 time for each group you need). This will give you a portion of your food and gold back. Also consider, do I have fleets in different regions I can sell for now, you have superior starting fleets so this is something you can also do to create cash. Another trick for regions were you have a city, raise the food loss production, so that it isn't negative, this reduces it from hitting so hard. Lastly in a full diplomacy game make an ally in the Southern regions to trade food/good at reduced rates. Just some ideas.

I managed to get all of my order slots for this next turn issued.
Turn after turn of not paying the troops really does suck, though.
And newcomers aren't likely to know that they can issue so many orders for their military groups. I sure didn't, when I was new to Alamaze.

Max why are you recruiting troops if you can't pay the ones you have? When you are selling goods at a loss do you buy a bigger truck so you can sell more?
you have the Cimmerians, the meanest guys in the north. your money woes tell me it is likely winter, the Cimmerians favorite season. You should be out taking stuff from your northern neighbors like a true Cimmerian!
Why are you not paying 5 groups? Have you not made any patrols that don't need pay?
Go out and take what you need. You are the king of winter!

Ok..Ok.. don’t get your panties in an uproar, O’l King Canine.. I’ll stay out of your carnage…
Max, put your fleets to merchant for gold, not transport. Lots of gold being left out there.

Because I am attempting to learn the ins and the outs of Alamaze.

So that I can actually issue turn orders for my kingdom. The game is predicated upon gold dependency, and many orders require gold, and some require both gold and food, to issue.

This is my first time trying to play the Cimmerians. I don't possess the experience advantage that you do. I'm starting from scratch.

It's early winter. I have no idea, whatsoever, what "true Cimmerians" in Alamaze are.
Above, I specifically asked and said, "What were the guiding considerations for the crafting of this kingdom in the first place? It's too early, yet, for me to tell whether this is a kingdom of great heroes and such."

Thus far, five turns in, I have no idea, at all, what the Cimmerians are supposed to be, much less how good or how bad they are at being that unknwon thing.

It's likely a bid to be better militarily prepared, compared to how I have played things in some of my other Learning Games of Alamaze.

Clearly, you haven't kept up with my numerous comments about the military side of Alamaze. You're a very experienced Alamaze player. Knowledge of the game's mechanics and workings are second nature to you. That's not a level of knowledge that newcomers and inexperienced players possess. Does the Alamaze 4th Cycle Rulebook say that the Cimemrians kingdom is the king of winter?
