New Confederation game?
#1
Greetings all!

I am proposing a new confederation game. It requires 6 players, with each player playing 2 kingdoms at the same time.

We just finished one, where Jon Deaux took first place!

This is for the player that wants a challenge, and it is extremely rewarding.

There is no diplomacy, so that is sometimes desired in a game of Alamaze--especially if you are not a fan of diplomacy.

I would love to get a confederation game going by far my favorite style of game. Let get one going. Not sure if putting it up on creator page is right way to go with 2 areas and 2 kingdoms selected. Should this be done like the old days and have a random order 1st pick region then pick kingdoms next or?? any ideas to get this going?

This post is for starting a new confederation game. How it works is that there are only 6 players and everybody has two kingdoms that they control. This game is also a no communication game.

Once we have the 6 players, there is a snake draft, where the first person, chosen at random by a neutral third party, can choose either two kingdoms that they would like to play or two regions (which I can post later as it is predetermined in pairs of two). Once everybody goes through the first draft, the last person gets to choose their next pair.

I believe that we have two people interested, including me.

This is a fun way to play, and it is a challenge that is worth the while.

I just saw a 5-man game get going, and there is another in queue. I would like to advocate for a 6-man game, where each player has control of 2 kingdoms at once. There are no alliances and no communication at all. It goes in a serpentine draft done by a neutral third party, and first one chooses region, then in the reverse, the kingdom is chosen. There are already established region pairings that we can use to make it fairer because that way, no one gets stuck by not having two nearby regions. If desired, I can furnish the pairings.

That makes four. We just need two more intrepid players!

Here are the pairings:

(1) Crown Islands and Krynn (4)
(2) Darkover and Diamond Coast (3)
(5) Trimvia and Pellinor (9)
(6) Zanthia and Sword Coast (8)
(7) Nyvaria and Untamed Lands (12)
(10) Zamora and Mythgar (11)
