Thank you for your patience while I scavenged for food during the winter months. I would like to compensate you with a gift. Would you prefer gold now or food during the summer?

Understood and, forgiven I could use some food over the summer. Not this turn but next, what do you suggest?

I’ll return what I took by sending 10k food for the next 3 summer turns.

JohnnyUtah,

You can't send it to me since we are not allies we will need to trade. I am low on orders this turn lets pick it up next turn. Lets say 20,000 food for one gold. And we'll be even. Come winter we can trade again.

*Newb question here* I've never played limited diplo and want to be fair to everyone. Do I DM the Druid my offer? Do the details have to be posted on the forum? How do you guys run the protocol?

While the details should be public but once the price is agreed upon I am fine with the short name being sent privately, unless anyone objects.

Ruingruth

When it comes to sensitive information, like in-game names of artifacts or pricing, those should remain private. The same applies to services such as kidnapping or assassinations, where not all details should be public. However, the intent must be clear and on the board, even if the finer details remain confidential.
Food/Gold trades people like to see in the open.
Those are just my thoughts

So what you are saying, I believe, is that if a player wants to tell another in the beginning of a game that he has a village in his region that has yet to be discovered, that he can send a private message to that player and then tell where it is?
You tell me?
I believe that would be in the spirit of the game. It isn't like we are planning to joint attack on a third party, and I believe that it should be allowed.

Sounds good, I'll submit that for Turn 12

The Red dragon will pay handsomely for some food. Anyone looking to profit from my insatiable hunger?

Remember, feeding the dragon now only means he will be at your doorstop eventually. Let him starve and die as deserved.

The fell fey creatures seek only to distract and sow chaos.

I will offer 6x the open market rate for food for up to 100k.

Are there none who would like 150k of gold for 100k of food?

The Red Sky Devils are offering blood-soaked gold for your fine crops. Feeding him only hastens the time when he appears in your skies. Is a bit of gold now worth selling out the future of your kingdom? Help the kingdom of fey hold the line now! We fight for you now in these sacred forests! If we fall who is next? The fine kingdom of Pirates and Scallywags in Nyvaria and Stormgate? Perhaps our brethren the Druidic order on the Untamed? A dragon's hunger knows no bounds!
