Congrats to everyone who managed to survive to the end. Great game.

As a side note, there has been some discussion on which nations cannot crack a legendary. I think the Forgotten may fall into that category.

In this game I tried for a Legendary that was 185k. Not huge by some standards. And granted, it was a capitol and I had a battle earlier that turn. But my group was about as maxed as it could be and if it can't take a 185k under those conditions then it certainly can't take some of the more developed legendaries out there.

Consider my group. The 1FO had 4 Kingdom brigades, 1 Beholder, 5 Minotaurs, 10 swampmen. 5 chameleons, 5 Rock Golems. All Regular. I also had about a 125 morale, A warlord and 2 Lord Commanders, a P9 (with the ring) and two P7s, 65 Pts in artifacts and was double forged.

That's about the max The FO gets without recruiting from PCs. I know this is something being looked at so I figured I would throw this out there.

Well done! The FO is one kingdom I have yet to play and I'd like to try.

Just curious - what was the vs PC value of the group you attempted to take the legendary?

And another important note, the battle took place after Turn 30 so my beholder was throwing some sick damage. Plus fear. Plus my wizards throwing damage and a valor.

I'm left thinking that the FO simply cannot take a Legendary without recruiting - heavily - from PCs.

Elite troops would have certainly helped but those can be hard to come by. I am surprised the FO doesn't have some better summon troop options for being a tier 2 wizard kingdom. They don't get the summon monster spells or the evil summons.
