Human capture emissary return?
#1
Let's imagine, hypothetically speaking, that my emissary got captured by the locals trying to usurp a Human city.

If I later gain control of that city, with an intermediate step of Neutral, does the prisoner get released and returned to my capital?

Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Yes, anyone who gets control will get the Emmy , if it’s the owner, it will return to you. Major cities are harder to gain over minor cities Net. The old charts are not accurate I always err on neutralizing 1st, and don’t forget a recon just in case a neighbor takes a turn to status quo you in it.

Tricksey neighbors have also been known to sleep an emissary or two when you move in multiple emissaries with the hope of getting one of your characters captured by the pop.

Along a similar vein, I have a capture question.

If I try to move emissaries out of a pop center that has a group at it, my emissaries could be captured. Is this true if the group belongs to my declared ally in a team game?
And where in the rulebook does it talk about capturing emissaries by groups outside the PC, if it does?

Vball,

If the pop is under siege there is a 50% chance of capture if you move an emissary out.

From the rulebook under the siege order:
Emissaries attempting to relocate from a population center under siege will undergo a 50% chance of capture.

Thanks, Ruingurth. I did see that rule and there is no siege here. Just wondering if moving through my ally's group puts me at risk. Guess we will find out since I see nothing in the rules that says a group merely sitting there is a problem.

A group taking no action would not impact emissary movement out of the PC - allied or not.
