FYI to players:
I have had at least three instances using diplomacy (spell 171) where the helper showed green across the board, and it failed. In one case I had on the order of 8x the PC value and a p-5 casting the spell. I don't use it often, typically only when I want to dodge a dome; however, with this inconsistency, I will likely never use it on an important target.
