I am attempting to recruit Damned troops while at a PC and I get the message:

"Not permitted to recruit Damned troops in Triumvia."

The setup indicates I should be able to recruit Damned in the wild or at a PC.

Has anyone seen this before?

I tried about 2 years ago and got this message

"Not permitted to recruit from a village"

Would be good to hear if anyone successfully recruited Damned from a pc.

I’ve only recruited in wild, not a pop?so idk…

And rule book says they are considered companion brigades and as far as my knowledge only recruitable in wild. Only summoned troops allow in pop are skeletons. So whatever that’s worth….

Setup is clear (but possibly wrong):

Recruit at pop center (any terrain) or in wild (no pop center) in Plains, Forest, Mountains, Desert terrain and requires Captain and 1 Veteran brigade

Curious how you can't get them from the Marsh...

Also another quote from the rulebook

"Damned, Skeletons, and Zombies may be summoned from pop center areas (not in wild only)."

So clearly the intention is to allow this, but maybe not programed to do so.

Never been able to summon zombies at a pop center… ever, you can cast when attacking a pop to create them but not recruit as summoned.. just saying

I’m mistaken, can’t cast on a pop, but if you had zombies you have a chance of getting some from a pop attack I think.
