Sieging legendary castles?

I know that in times gone by, having a great castle meant that it wasn't able to be sieged. I know now that it isn't that way anymore. However, I don't know for sure if this is the case with legendary castles.

I successfully sieged a legendary castle in a game late last year.

Except ones owned by me. Those are extra-legendary and cannot be sieged.
