To the Noble Lords and Ladies of Alamaze,

What is Alamaze 2, you ask?

Well, grab your swords, spellbooks, and maybe even a pirate hat—because we're taking Alamaze to the next level, and it's going to be legendary.

You already know Alamaze as the epic fantasy strategy game of espionage, military conquest, and political intrigue. But now, imagine channeling all that greatness into any setting: a world of pirates, steampunk, sci-fi, or something entirely new. That’s the magic of Alamaze 2.

We’re rebuilding Alamaze from the ground up with modern tech—think touch and drag functionality on your phone or tablet. You'll be able to:
  • Click on your towns and see who's living there.
  • Tap your armies to reveal their composition and movement range.
  • Drag them across the map to march, attack, or defend—no more order entry!
  • Watch your treasury auto-update, plan your economy in real-time, and view terrain details with a simple tap.
  • Play on ANY map—because the days of fixed grids and A-Z/X-Y coordinates are gone. Now, we can drop in any digital map, draw out regions, assign terrain, and voilà—your world is born.
Behind the scenes, we've completely modernized the infrastructure. Every game now gets its own database. You’ll be able to go back and review old games forever. And on my end? I can build new troops, kingdoms, traits, artifacts—you name it—on the fly using new tools and calculators. Want a kingdom of sky pirates or fire-wielding golems? We can do that.
We're currently testing this on the Maelstrom map. Right now, we can select kingdoms, players, and regions, and watch the map populate just like Turn Zero. The next step: integrate the core modules that process turns. We’ve already built much of the framework, so Phase 2 will move fast.

It’s all happening—and it’s all because of you, the passionate community that keeps this world alive. I couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey with you. Thank you for being part of the story.

To help keep the momentum going, I’ll soon be launching another “Make Alamaze Great Again” game. The last one—and your generous donations—pushed us forward in a big way. This time, we’re building toward an even bigger milestone: a full beta within the next six months. When that happens, I plan to reintroduce Alamaze to the world in style.
