My Worthy Opponents
This is only my second game after a 25-year absence from Alamaze. The game has evolved significantly since we played on paper. I have made many mistakes, and I am slowly learning and still I almost won this game on turn 25 when I came up one PC short of controlling my fifth region. I took control of Pellinor on 26 but lost Stormgate the same turn. All downhill since then.
Order input errors caused my military to arrive at Stormgate separately instead of combined, and on next turn I issued defend orders to all of my groups but input incorrect data and they were sitting ducks resulting in loss of 45 brigades and a wizard.
Now I must sit back and watch as Power 9 and 10 wizards vaporize my legendary castles and agents and wizards sleep and kidnap my people. I thought about dropping but out of respect for the game and my opponents, I will stick it out until the end and be satisfied with what appears will be a fourth-place finish.
Like Arnold said in Terminator, "I'll be back"
