Limit on Rods of Fire?

Assuming I have enough mithril, can I have 15 Rods of Fire in my Military unit with just a single caster to use them?

Yep, I've never had more than two, but I recall a game where the BL had eight or nine, and they all were mentioned in combat.

Yes, and even better, all come into play in unusual encounters, even if the wizard does not investigate the encounter (this is likely a programming oversight).

I envision Wizard Zamfir lining the rods up smallest to biggest and firing them from long distance at the wild boars, then returning to camp anticipating a delicious supper.
