Question for all you experienced pros out there...what is the best way to go about finding a hidden capital. A handful of of level 4 agents searching each turn?

At times, you can narrow down where the capital might be based on agent activity, emissary movement, or military actions. An example - the enemy used an agent to kidnap an emissary of yours. It is a fair assumption that the best agents are in the capital, thus you can assume the capital had to be within seven squares of where the mission took place. Combine that with known information such as popc centers, artifact locations, and areas you have already looked at, and it may help you narrow the search.

I also use ward to narrow it down. If one of you emissaries/agents are captured Ward him. If he is out of range (10hexes) you will get the message target is out of range. If the ward spell works he is within 10 hexes of your wizard.

At least in one game, I literally stumbled across yours by complete accident, removing a group from an untenable PC.

I recently accidentally landed on a hidden capital on Turn 1 and got attacked by an invisible group. My group, along with my leaders and wizards was destroyed.

I had someone land on my hidden capital on Turn 1 or 2 while they were marching a group back home. It happens sometimes.
