No email turn and no turn on the kingdom reports page. I saved that page yesterday to outsmart the system, but turn 40 is not there.
I assume PI and IL co-won? Anyone know?

Congrats to the Druid!
Congrats Pine, I guess you bumped up the census in Krynn at the end....my math showed me at 61% based the most recent intel!
Also, all for naught as entered too many orders and my victory check got dropped.
Impressive, staving off Ozy and I at the end to secure the points Victory...I imagine he was equally close as well!
Good game!
I didn't see the turn but I built a boatload of great temples on the last turn so that must have been the difference.
I liked the format of the game a lot.
I was very happy with my draw of the Druid and Triumvia. The Druid has great companion brigades but no demonic visions. My capital was close to Pellinor and not on the sea so that wasn't great.
The Nomad and Demon Princes were adjacent, as well as the Underworld in Pellinor, so my plan was to hunker down and build my capital until turn 20 then start kicking ass. I didn't even claim the region as an early victory condition. Turns out things were more peaceful than I expected.
The Nomad attacked my town in Krynn on turn 3 with an 1NO army, so I quickly deduced his capital had to be in the northern part of Zamora on land. I did two wards on my captured governor to narrow it to 5 squares and found it on the first recon. Very lucky. So I was less worried about him attacking, though he went after the IL instead.
I was chasing artifacts- mostly wizards, and got to my full 12 wizards with ESO on turn 10. The FO nipped the Gem and one of the big swords from me by luck (both of us had invisible groups there), and the UN got the Morgal Blade from me that way too. I tried to train brigades so I could get the good companions but kept failing. So I sent a group to Krynn to try to train against a town, which turned out to have a Demon Prince in it. The NO was also there, but we quickly made a deal to give the Demon control and divide the region. I captured that Demon Prince though, and entered super paranoid mode that he'd find my capital the same way I found the Nomad's. I offered to ransom but he wanted to escape, for some reason, which failed twice. I couldn't execute him which is my normal course with prisoners and hidden but still vulnerable capitals. But he finally escaped and I thought my capital was still hidden.
I raised agents solely to defend my groups, but then the UN dropped. He'd taken Stormgate, so I popped over there to grab the city and train brigades. Not so fast- the only time I have ever seen "Holding for Player" and the UN hadn't actually dropped.
I was able to get the city and train elite brigades, finally, so was fine giving it back. Still not at war with anyone.
I got my level 8 wizard soon after turn 10 and recruited Iron golems for all my groups.
Then on turn 20 I started using revelation to find a good neighbor to attack. My first reveal was the Ancient Ones, and I need look no further.
His hidden capital was on the plains in Crown, but he was building up a sea town at AB. It was very, very plump, like 140 k food and 70k gold. Great castle but no legendary. So I landed 4 invisible groups on his capital and 2 princes in AB. The plan could have been foiled very easily either with a legendary at the plum town, or putting a prince with counterespionage there. AN are sleep immune. He also had not recruited any brigades at all. Anyway that worked and he dropped.
From then on I had more gold and food than I could spend. Like 3 million gold left at the end.
I made two attempts at victory after that- going for Zanthia, Krynn and Stormgate, foiled by an unusual Nomad legendary at JB, and the second time by my good army bouncing against Stormgate. I tried to get cute and pillage it, then take Cornocopia for the region, as I knew I couldn't hold it, and I guess I don't know when the 175% modifier comes in, as I thought I had it pretty easy, but no.
I attacked the Pirate and he ably fought back, then the IL started attacking me too. Both had 4 regions on turn 39, and I thought would both declare on 40, but I must have just held on. Wynand comments that my building in Krynn must have just stopped his victory, as I built Temples, then Great Temples on everything I could on 39 and 40.
I had the winged stallions which I normally think is not that great, but it allowed my to fly the seas with impunity from pirate fleets. Not sure if he every tried to intercept groups, but flight helped alot there to prevent that.
So close. Lots of fun. Wizards are just so strong in midgame and after. That's why you should crush them early, like cockroaches.
