I too have selected the 30k defense option for my capital.

WA in game 1000 (me!) elected for the 30k defense.

Comments on customization:

*I agree more slots would be nice; I have ran into the issue of filling the slots in an non-ideal fashion due to have only nine spots

*I believe the gold amount should be increased from 8000 to 10,000, as gold is less valuable; this option is rarely attractive

*I'd like to see Smoke Mojo and Amulet of Protection removed; these are poor options experienced players ignore, and new players may be punished by choosing them

*Rod of Fire for two points and Crystal of Seeing for nine points may be good alternatives

*I believe any kingdom should be able to get an extra kingdom brigade; presently the RD and BL (and FF!) cannot, but powerhoues like the GI and NO can

*On that subject, it would be an interesting option to allow a kingdom to purchase an extra green kingdom brigade twice

*A production boost to the capital would be a good addition, perhaps 5000 food, gold and census for five points

*I'd like to be able to hire a General for three points; I say this as a general is needed for diplomacy/parley, and thus this opens up more options

Any particular kingdom you would like to test? Gonna select a kingdom in 24 hr game. Was thinking DW been like 6 years since I played them.

Also, was looking at the suggestions, under fortifications: could we make the defensive improvements to go along with the fort like “Ballista Tower” make it a gold cost instead of mithril? What about Greek fire for the towers like we do with fleet defense? Hot oil? Catapults? We could(at a cost) neutralize the big beastly trolls?

going to 30k makes the early military smash vs magic kingdoms harder. will there be a late counter? 3 lvl9 mages and a can of korn can smash a legendary capital.
