I had posted in Rick's thread before he made it clear that we should all start our own thread and now that Game 101 is getting ready to start, I figured I should re-introduce myself. My name is Victor Patterson; I started playing Alamaze back in 1987/8 in response to the Dragon article. I was in college at the time (UF) but live in the Bahamas and that's where I am now. I actually won the first game I played in (#29) and had a real blast playing it over the next fifteen years or so.
I picked my name after a dark horse GOP presidential candidate I was quite into at the time - Pierre S. 'Pete' DuPont IV, a former governor of Delaware. Unfortunately, he dropped out after the New Hampshire primary, so he never got to be president, but this way he gets to rule in Alamaze.

Welcome, Victor!

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Go Gators! I graduated from Florida as well. Have followed their exploits ever since and forever more. Hopefully we can beat the upstart Florida Gulf Coast on Friday. Got my graduate degree from Miami, but never considered myself a Cane.
