Changing King's Name
#1
If you'd like to change your king's name and/or gender, you may include that when you email your Turn 0 order submission. It won't be intuitive and there won't be anything in the setup email, but you have that option.

This will likely be fixed in future games.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Just be sure when a character's name is changed, that the first two letters of the name are different from all other characters, or it won't be accepted.

I believe we also have the option to change emissary names of the first turn as well--including them in the email, correct?

Can somebody post all of the first "two" characters of the king names to avoid a rejected order? What order number is renaming your king's name?

The list is specific to your own kingdom and includes the first 2 letters of each your existing emissaries. Emissary names have to be unique in each kingdom.

Max character length is 20, you can include saces, which each count as a letter
Example: Mordred the Great is acceptable at 17 characters.

We do reserve the right to refuse names deemed inappropriate.

So we can just type in our new king name? Assuming it doesn't conflict with any existing emmisaries?

Yep. As long as it is not an objectionable name and the 1st 2 letters of the name do not match another Emissary of your kingdom just change the name on TURN 0 and also send a note to Cipher in your orders email.
