Hardly explains why you would know a "Texas" song older than me. Maybe you are 10 years older than me. That would be a better explanation.

It's a complicated chain of events that leads a 10-year-old South American boy to hear, much less like, old American country-western songs, but the chief factors are the international popularity of American cowboy movies and living with my uncle for a stretch.
