I'd like to get feedback on the idea of moving turn processing to regular times on Mondays and Thursdays.
Due dates would be like 2pm on Mondays and 8pm on Thursdays. So, a fixed 2 turns/week, almost evenly spaced. This would slightly accelerate games, but provide a fixed schedule for games to be run.

I vote yes, but I assume that this will only apply until the automated turn input process is built (like what we have in Fall of Rome).

The only downside I foresee with processing all turns on Monday night and Thursday night is that people will be less likely to upgrade their membership and to join more than 1 or 2 games at a time. I imagine there are diminishing returns on enjoyment, waking up on Tuesday morning to find that 3 games have all processed and are waiting in your inbox. Whereas getting a turn on Tuesday morning, one on Wednesday morning, and one on Thursday morning would be far more enjoyable for the players.
But I bet it would be quite good for the gamemaster's workload, so it might be worth the trade-off.

If fixed processing wins the vote and we switch over, we should probably have a second poll after a month to see how it worked out and if people want to stick with it.

As we add games, and Game Masters, there may be opportunity to have the games processed on different days during the week.
Personally, I love the idea of bi-weekly turns. This would eliminate those distressing turns that go beyond 4 days for whatever, perfetly valid, reasons. I'm not just saying that because it was my idea, either.

To reference this to another old PBM game I still play ..
In Duelmasters different arenas run on different fixed 14 day turn arounds. I purposefully play in certain arenas , spaced out thru the week , so as to get a near constant flow of results.
When all my results tend to bunch up on a certain date I find myself playing less not playing more.
That being said I am in favor of the general idea to have fixed turn around dates.
Maybe as games 105 -1XX start , use a TUE/FRI schedule or whatever ..

The way I see it, we can generally just forget about scheduled games on the weekend. That leaves us with Mon-Fri, and probably not Friday night.
My games, 100 and 102, already creeped up to them both running on Monday. I have a feeling they were all destined to do so.

I'm fine with whatever is easiest for whoever has to input the orders as long as games are running smooth.
If I get all my turns on the same day, like Diamond, then I just have more food for thought and it's not really an issue.

If I were really worried about it, I suppose I could hold off on opening the turn for a day or two. As if!!

Last day for the polling on fixed v floating due dates.
It's running about 60/40 in favor of fixed dates.
Had 5 games process on Monday and it worked pretty well for me, took between 2 1/2 and 3 hours to get everything in/ran/out. Had been running about 45 min/individual game.
This Friday is another large batch, if it goes well and the poll stays around 60% in favor, I'll make the changes for a couple weeks and circle back for more feedback.
