When we brought Alamaze back, here now exactly 3 months ago, we introduced to Alamaze the concept of persona, which Fall of Rome players have been familiar with since it started in 2004, but old Alamaze players were not.
We are seeing some "passionate rivalries" emerge already. In Fall of Rome, we allow players at higher service levels to have more than one persona. I wonder if that might be a good idea for Alamaze as well. So, player Rick can have personas X and Y and maybe Z, and when he signs up for a game, he chooses which he wants to use. The advantage is that there is some anonymity, which may serve well for the non diplomacy game, and also allows players to enter a game without instant enemies forged under their other persona. It also allows a player to preserve an impeccable reputation with the main persona while getting a little mischievous with another. It can also hide some style of play "tells" that experienced players pick up from personas they have encountered.
The downside is your Valhalla points are divided among your personas, as earned.
Would you, at whatever service level, likely use more than your original persona and enjoy the potential of doing so, if there was either a service level requirement or a one-time charge for adding a persona?
