Greetings. I am a brand new player, known as Malabeth (though you may call me "Lord" for short). I've read a few things around here for beginners, and while some things make relative sense to me, I don't think it'll quite come together for me until I actually dive into the game. So here I am, playing as the Elves in my first game. From what I understand, communication is important, so I guess it's time to get to know a few people around here!

Good luck. As a start off point I would recommend enamoring your region and making nice with the troll and giant.

Welcome, Malabeth!

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Greetings Malabeth. You have good spirit going into the game, and remember new players, you likely didn't win your first game of chess vs. one opponent, let alone your first game of Alamaze against 14. It's a rewarding journey to getting to good.

True, the odds are low for me to win my first game. But I try to look at the positives... With 14 other players, there's far more opportunity for deception and manipulation than there is in chess.

I won my first game of Fall of Rome, so Malabeth jus may win his first game of Alamaze. It's a long shot, but far from impossible. The secret is to prevent all the other players from winning. If he can do that, he'll win by default.
