Starting this thread to chronicle the upcoming Warlords (4 player, goods vs evils) match. Teams are Wynand/The Deliverer vs. DuPont/Loric. Should be a great match as all four players are chasing glory in the Valhalla rankings (#1, #3, #5, and #7 represented here).
The teams, to be named in the near future) shall be:
Evils -
DuPont - Darkelf, Troll, and Witchlord
Loric - Black Dragon, Demon Princes, and Gnome
Goods -
Wynand - Dwarf, Elf, and Giant
The Deliverer - Ancient Ones, Ranger, and Warlock
We'll do our best to keep regular updates of the happenings. Feel free to throw taunts, jeers, advice, questions, etc. up here for us as the game progresses.

Setups are out!
In honor of an awesome movie, I hereby offer Dupont and Loric a draw.

Or, in honor of something even awesomer:

LEFT CHEEK! LEFT CHEEK! LEFT CHEEK!
Or, the better line, and more fitting to what the Goods are about to do... "Bring the rain!"

So, Dusi, you are the littler boy on the right? I pictured you (when I don't see your avatar), differently.

Which reminds me, we are working on a few changes to what some (like me) consider unbalanced orders and spells, as mentioned in Change is Inevitable.

Yep. On the right. You'd have to add 40 lbs or so to properly catch my look at that age, though. Damn donuts.
As to the changes... well, I have mixed feelings about the potential updates, but we've already discussed that enough. I just hope we don't see a nerfing of the magic positions or the removal of some of the nuances that make Alamaze such a great experience. However, with the potential for great experiences also comes the potential for great disappointment. DuPont will have to be the one to discuss that side of things, likely around turn 3 or 4. The extremes are part of the fun.

Let's start a list of all the computer games that started more than 25 years ago that are still around. We have to adapt, to move forward. We will make just a few changes to broken orders in Classic, and then my attention will move to 3rd Cycle, and then Arda. But we must make Classic a bit more, survivable. To get to the next level.

Oh, I have no doubt you have in mind what is best for Alamaze, and I have faith that whatever form that takes, whatever changes are made, it will continue to be an enjoyable experience. I'll be around and will have to adapt to any changes made, which is part of the fun...
But enough about us, Rick. Let's do what this thread was intended to do and taunt Loric and DuPont. And Wynand, in a way.

I congratulate all the Imperators and Victors in this contest and wish them, Good Hunting. We all look forward to the timely updates, especially given the anonymous games have that downside, of being, anonymous.
