#116 - Duel 2 Alamaze 2 - Second Alamaze / Duel 2 Game
#1
This is a private game formed today consisting of 12 players from the Duel 2 Alamaze original game.

Since this game is under the Anonymous format, except it is a team game, so diplomacy allowed with teammates only, we won't get much if any discussion here about it.

However, it's one to keep an eye on because it follows the format (12 players, same 3 eliminated kingdoms I would pick) for an improved Anonymous format.

Players should contact us at signup@alamaze.co if you would like to organize a private Classic game including Steel, Magic, Warlords or Titan.

Also, if players signed up for Anonymous 3 are agreeable, we can use the same 12 player format. So the eliminated kingdoms are the Ancient Ones, the Demon Princes, and the Underworld.

In the next game we D2 guys maybe ought to join in with the rest of you, but we wanted to try a team game out for size. It's mostly the players who participated in 105... not quite so wet behind the ears this time, but still likely to make plenty of mistakes, I'm sure!

Good luck to rest of the players (except those I plan to crush) Smile

I can at least tell how we decided to split the kingdoms up in this game.

The pairings are as follows:

Team 1 > WI,TR,BL
Team 2 > RD,GN,DA
Team 3 > DW,RA,WA
Team 4 > SO,EL,GI

We decided to have the 3 unplayed kingdoms starting positions removed to allow for more open areas.

I am looking forward to turn 1 as we have all received our set ups and turn 0's.

I'm assuming training for agents will remain at 4k for the entire game? Good luck to all involved - should be tons of fun!! Thanks again to Kirk and those who run this game to make it easy!

One of the cool things about the team design is that every team has a natural enemy on each opposing team. We all despise each other equally.

They are also spread out pretty well.

Are they spread out? Looks like 8 is open, and there is potential conflict in 3, 5, 9.

Aside from geography/geopolitics (potentially), I like the team design.

I agree it is not perfect but with 10 regions there will always be 2 regions with more than 1 kingdom. There are 12 cities so we'll have to see how those get divided up.

R8 being open is an interesting twist that will be an opportunity for somebdy.

I like this format. I'll probably sign up for the next round.

I have gotten a few emails about the turn around schedule in this game. It seems it was set up to run 1x a week. I know , after talking with many of you , that everyone was hoping for the standard 1x a week/ 2x the following week schedule we had in our 105 game.

I brought this up with Cipher who mentioned it would help to make a post about it here so those of you that watch the forums can post your preference. He said he had no problem switching it to our old schedule if that is what the masses want. Let your voice be heard.
