I am thinking not allowing an ally until T7 means no one is getting free resources and no one has (ostensibly) pre-allied. Players can still exchange info and plot, but no one could overtly support another until T7, and only a single ally (instead of a wolf pack) would be allowed.

Trading for non-allies might be limited to no more than 3-1 (market rates). So a king could trade 25k food for 10k gold, but not 200k gold for 10k food.

I'm just trying to make it as fair a contest as possible with as few rule changes as possible as well.

So then it would be reasonable for kingdoms with capitols in the same regions to work out deals to divide up the regions without conflict?

You just don't want to see the RD/DW invading the DA on turn 2?

No, I want the RD to feel free to invade the DW on T2, or the RD and DW to invade DA. I just don't want the GN to pay him 70k on T2 to do it. Let's get some opinions, and then get the thing going.

BTW, this game doesn't count against your service level (so no one need decline on that basis), so if you haven't signed up for G117 do so and get the +4 orders and maybe the 5th group.

Yea there are a few that could be in big trouble with no ally type rules. Namely me! Troll is brutal if thats the case.

I am in regardless as TR.

I would be honored to play the UN in this one. However it's structured is fine by me , I'll play regardless.

Sounds like a lot of fun.

Tripwire and all,

Troll is the only kingdom with 2 victories. The anonymous format definitely hurts certain classic kingdoms. This is not an anonymous format.

Everyone can communicate and work together as much as they like. Its just that there would be restrictions on funding a kingdom before T7, and then, only one ally could overtly fund a kingdom. And the one ally also should stop the other tactic of having 3 or 4 going against 1 or 2 from the beginning.

I just want all 15 to have an equal chance, and not have any pre-alliances. Feel free to offer opinions on the Alamaze Classic Championship of 2013 house rules. Don't go crazy, just something simple.

Quick question, are we slotted the kingdoms in the initial post we were assigned to?

To echo Nikodemus above I am looking forward to playing however it is structured.

I was just asking the questions to better understand the directions.
Your explanation sounds good to me.

Well, awkward - all except you, BlueFile.

The top podium winner for each kingdom gets first yea or nay on whether they wish to participate. The Dark Elf is the only kingdom with no podium winner at this point.

If a kingdom's top choice declines, there will be a list of second scorers for each kingdom, who then can pick up the gauntlet.

After that, the top player for points without a kingdom podium position will be invited.

So is this a go? What do we have to do? Is there another forum for it?
