Titan Tournament - DuPont vs The Sten

So we are the third of the three titan tournament games going. I got first pick and this is the teams that were selected (in order of being picked):

I find it very interesting that in all three Titan games, the TR got picked despite the fact that the conventional wisdom was that they took too long to develop. I was half tempted to take the UN with my last pick for a lark, but felt I needed the WI to keep my opponent from totally dominating in the North. I will be curious to see if the TR become a more popular choice for Titan games going forward based on the experiences people have in these games of if the conventional wisdom turns out to be right and they get sent back to the minor leagues again. I've also noted with some interest that the EL and DA are often among the last picked despite the fact that they usually have a free shot at regional control.

My giants will eat your trolls. Though I understand they can regenerate even after being crapped out on the rocks of Amberland, so we'll see how it goes.

troll = awesome. Probably the most fun I've had with a kingdom since I restarted Alamaze. Trolls also thrive on Jumbie's tears.

Well, seems like it's close. Turn 3 got delivered, but alas, it wasn't a complete turn. I know no reckons were on my turns but the orders was given. Sad, now no world of Alamaze to liberate while gorging myself on Turkey

Turn 3 results were a killer, we received the turn 2 results 3 times for various reasons and through it all I missed the WA army battle preparations. It was totally my fault, was hurrying to get turn in so we could have the weekend to plot (my best turns come over the weekend, not a whole lot of time during the week with work and all). Well, 2 battles, the 1WA and 2WA were "Surprised" with not good results for me.

DuPont has the advantage, damn, it seems like sleep spells don't want to work for me most the time. But, hanging in there. I don't see a quick resolution of this one (by quick, I mean before turn 5 or so--I should have him begging for mercy by then ).

I wondered what was up with that. Your two (now dead) wizards cast spells against me, but the group itself was surprised.
For outsiders, I'm winning the region race 2-0 as I just took the Northern Mists and the Southern Sands (if I had also managed the Eastern Steppes, I would have had the perfecta on directional named regions) but not doing as well on the cities. While only two have been taken (Viperhead by me and Zabzanka by the Sten), he's managed to get a couple more neutral so he has the edge on me, there.
