Hey everybody

Hey, y'all. I'm Cloud, and I just signed up for my first game. Well - first game since back in the day, as it were. I played 3 games in the First Cycle, but I didn't stick with any of them for very long. I was a teenager and I had too much going on. My first kingdom was Darkelves. I wrote a few News from the Front passages for The Oracle back in the day which were more psy-ops than field report.

Despite having stared many hours at 1st cycle Alamaze print outs and talking to allies, running up crazy long-distance (!) bills that caused my family to remove long distance service from our home phone, I'm still basically green. I don't think I ever got past turn 12. So, hopefully I can actually see a game through this time. Undecided

Welcome back, Cloud.

We all need to remember to allow returning players to ease back in. In fact, we'll start two different queues again for experienced and returning/new.

Make sure you dont start your first game without an ally or two lined up.

Or if you are in 125 maybe this would be a good opportunity for a veteran to ally with a returning player.

Best of luck Cloud!

I find the player community very supportive of new players and very willing to extend an olive branch to the new guy on the block. Also read the forums they are full of great information. I found "where kingdoms start" under basic game play to help a lot with knowing who will be around your area and possibly who to contact.
