Ok so played PBM's since school in the late 80's (It's a Crime, Keys of Medokh, loads of others I can't even hope to list in full) and used to subscribe to Flagship. It's there I read about Alamaze and since then I've always wanted to play, but until now never had the time/funds. I can now look forward to writing up plans, scrapping said plans and writing new ones, amending plans following diplo's, submitting orders, constantly checking email for results, reading said results and wishing I'd stuck to my original plans. Can't wait Tongue

Welcome!
 Lord Diamond

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Welcome aboard Rowey. I played it's a crime too was fun and fast paced. Alamaze involves more strategy and diplomacy and can have big shifts in strength from turn to turn. May want to check out the master aprentise game it should give you great insite into how to succeed at Alamaze.

Do you remember which Flagship? I was US Editor for a while and wrote a lot of the Alamaze stuff (this was back when it was run out of NC).
