This will be the latest (April 24, 2014) signup for a new Steel game. With rumors and whispers, we have stirred the tealeaves and feel the Anonymous Exploratory Steel Rex format will be the easiest to fill. So:
1. Anonymous - no inter-player communication of any kind under penalty of death by bongo bongo.
2. Exploratory - no kingdom begins with a High Priestess nor may hire one before Turn 4. No Ancient Ones HP orders prior to turn 4.
3. Steel - As in all Anonymous Steel now, this is a 12 player game. Regular Steel is the full 15 player Alamaze campaign.
4. Rex - no secret victory conditions, even though one will appear on your kingdom dossier. The game is won by controlling 4 regions (The Rex) or status points at T40 or earlier by acclamation.
As this is anonymous, let's try this time to just NOT post here your involvement or kingdom preference, instead send your involvement and top 3 choices to Signup@alamaze.co with subject: AESR I will update how we are making progress on the forming from time to time.

It would be the 12 kingdoms chosen by the 12 players. This is a good format for newbies. The downside is that you can't ally with a mentor. The upside is that nobody will ally against you and you can play yoir game without worrying about the needs or goals of another player. A great game to just do your thing and learn the ropes!

Before we have had the AN, DE and UN be inactive and I think that has worked pretty well.
But I'd be willing to experiment with the GI, WA and WI being inactive for this one. Feel free to post your thoughts on that. If we went that way, I'd likely have two of the least experienced players as the EL and DW, which are probably good positions for newer players in any case. But then maybe that makes them targets.

I say just leave it for the players to decide. Whichever kingdoms aren't chosen will be vacant. Then the other players can discover which on their own. This is 'exploratory' after all...

There are currently 8 of 12 positions reserved.
The GI, WA, and WI will be inactive in this game.
The BL has been the most requested position. A couple other kingdoms have been requested multiple times. If you like, you can submit additional kingdom selections at signup@alamaze.co.

I do like the idea of not knowing what kings will be inactive. It worked great in the last anon game I played.

So much for that.

We have 11 reserved positions as of 4:40pm Wed 5/7. I have just sent an email to those 11 personas.
So, one more and the game will form tomorrow.
We also will likely start the Seeking New Heroes Primeval, although one kingdom remains.
