At this point, I believe that Valhalla has been completely updated with all completed games to date. If I am missing any valid games, please let me know!

I also welcome any questions you may have regarding the data, how it is compiled, or what any of it means.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

We would also welcome suggestions to alter titles, achievements, and report names.

Perhaps we can put suggestions up to a High Council vote!

It's all amazing and I really like the honorifics. Am I missing something that shows what they all mean? Most I can intuit (the ones that are based on categories from the Kingdom Leaders file, for example), others I figured out (Knight means a podium placement with that kingdom when no other honorific for that game was earned?) , but some still elude me.

Council Member for a given Kingdom means? (Something to do with status points?)

Top 5 peer recommendations gets the honorific? How many does it take to get a gold/silver/bronze?

My only other thought was that production is not normalized. That is, that if you are a Southern empire and the game ends in summer, then your end-of-game production is listed as the summer values. This seems odd to me. It makes sense when comparing kingdoms within the same game, but once we are comparing cross-game, the virtue of tracking it that way eludes me. Maybe it would be too much of a pain to alter the data ?

For Peer recommendations, Jumpingfist will have to answer.

You may be right about the productions. I guess the answer is to end the game on just the right turn. The details come in a report from Support that I don't have any influence on. My report doesn't discuss seasons and I really hadn't realized that it wasn't normalized.

A Knight is either 2nd or 3rd place behind the Champion which is decided by podium finishes. A Councilor is 2nd or 3rd place behind the High Councilor based on status points.

For Peer recommendation I was given a few guide lines and then filled in what else was needed.
Guide lines
-only those that finish the game can get or nominate others - here I do allow those that quite after effectively being eliminated both nominate and receive if they apply. I feel they did play the game to its end. Those that drop viable position can not contribute and as these are rewards I also do not allow them to be recognized either
-one player can only get a maximum of two points in any one category per game.

Non guideline stuff
-Other than listed above I count every vote. I do not discard votes that give an explanation that does not match what the category says. This happens for chancellor.
-the total recommendations required for a medal will change. As there are only 5 spots so I will look at the spread sheet and figure a number break down that seems to product the correct medal levels. Currently all three categories are at bronze 2 votes, silver 3-4 votes and gold 5+. I will keep them at this level until I find a category has 5 golds then that category will have an adjustment made to keep them meaning full.

Hope this all make since. Originally I thought I was only gathering nominations. Seem to be more now.

If your game ends, feel free to create a game thread. That will alert us so that we can create a new file. If you name it, like 'New Player Primeval', we can name it in Valhalla as well.
