Hey Drogo, you want to join this contest while you are waiting for a Warlord opponent? I know there are quite a few active Warlord games (including the Warlord 2014 Championship) right now. It might be a while until the regular Warlord players have the inclination to start another.
Pagan + Anonymous is an exciting combination. I am very eager to play this format.
* Will the military (RD, GI, RA, TR, BL) kingdoms dominate?
* Will the magic (WI, WA, SO, DR) kingdoms enthrall the others?
* Will political (EL, DA, GN) kingdoms find the time to build huge numbers of emissaries?
* Will that damn UN manipulate/eliminate everyone else?
* What oh what will that damnably slow DW ever be able to accomplish?
* Maybe the RD will just conquer four regions before anyone can even find the pcs he owns?
* And no matter how the first game turns out, what will change in the second game as we relatively competitive players adjust our playstyles?
I don't know these answers. I do have my initial suspicions. But I am certainly eager to play this contest!
WE ONLY NEED ONE MORE. [Maybe Grey Mouser is available?]

I think the DW will dominate!
Actually, each time I assume I will be assigned any particular kingdom and start contemplating how I would play it I believe that every kingdom is going to be able to thrive. Military kingdoms will be able to have a huge start, especially those that travel fast. Magic kingdoms should attain great power toward the end. Maybe the smart military players will specifically target the magic kingdoms for early assaults? After all, without supplies of gold those wizards won't become quite as scary. The richer kingdoms, DW and GN usually, will be able to develop ALL aspects of their kingdoms and that is not normally the case. DW P6s could be lots of fun! GN P7s enabled me to finish a strong 2nd with this kingdom previously. I believe the strategic decisions we make, rather than the tactical ones, will define this game. Some kingdoms start faster than others. It is the players controlling these kingdoms that will define how this game develops.
Tactically, the absence of HP divinations means that military kingdoms will be unable to completely overwhelm a target because ALL PCS OWNED by that target will not be known to the military kingdom.
MadMardigan, this will be a perfect game for you based upon your comments in another thread. Care to be the 12th player?

If I had to pick a single best kingdom for this format I would likely take the RA. A balanced kingdom full of second bests They have enough military consolidated to keep the RD and BL away at least early on. They have incredible reaction levels leaving any region available for expansion. They can get to the spell levels needed for divining PCs and start with one of the best courts. One of the fastest militaries besides the dragons.
Really though the single most important thing though is who is commanding the kingdoms. The UN or RD are very powerful in there own ways but normally a newer player manages these kingdoms badly.
I see some games finishing next week if we do not get that last player before then it should happen Monday or Tuesday.

I think it will be hard for the military kingdoms to win, although they will have lots of fun. Any developing kingdom is in a very good spot in this environment. I'd say the UN has a good chance, assuming played by skilled hands (no pressure). After that, I might take the Gnomes.
Mike and I are discussing off-line, the format for this game. I think we will have the known, fixed cities and not introduce hidden cities here. I think pretty much everything else posted is how this one will go. No Druid this game, see the unplayed kingdoms from #300 to see ones certainly in this game.
Looking forward to the first game on the new platform. I think you'll like the look of the turn results, the warning if orders are not received, and the updates in general including to artifacts. Oh, and we will be interested in what you think of this particular format of Pagan Anonymous.

I claim the Red Dragons!
(Wait, what? I don't get to claim any kingdom? I get what's left?)
That's fine, how bad could that be? In fact, it will be interesting to see what isn't picked that I inherit.

I think that makes 12. Please send your kingdom preferences to signup@alamaze.co. and label the email subject Anonymous Pagan.
Both AN and DE are eligible, but not DU.

The game will be using the official map but keep in mind that regional borders may change at any time to keep things fresh

Sorry, just noticed this... just confirming, we're just picking from the standard 15 Steel Kingdoms, yes?
