Battle Damage Spells: should they be more powerful?
#11
should be happy they put spell density in effect i can only use my p9 to cast

Name: Earthquake Spell #: 105

The awesome earthquake spell causes the earth to swell and rip apart, swallowing
whole regiments of an enemy. This spell is not effective against dragons! The base
power of the attack is dependent upon the spellcasters power: 1100 points per level.
Against divisions, the damage is 150%, damage is 200% vs. armies, and 250% vs. army
groups. Against towns, damage is 125%, against cities, damage is 150%. Your group
must battle the target group for the spell to be effective. Put group ID of target
group in Column "C", or if cast against a population center, leave Column "C" blank.

Instead of this spell

Name: Prismatic Rays Spell #: 114

Prismatic rays is a powerful offensive battle spell. The spell sends powerful rays of
destruction upon the enemy lines. The power of the attack is dependent upon
spellcaster power: 2500 points per level plus a daze effect upon the enemy (temporary
10% morale loss before battle). Your group must battle the target group for the spell
to be effective. Put group ID of target group in Column "C", or if cast against a
population center, leave Column "C" blank.

I am waiting for the report where a couple of power 9's with an invisible brigade take out a whole army group.

Their combined Earthquake offense would be 49500.  What would that do to a surprised Troll group?

I just hope it doesn't happen to me...

Vs a TR the summon death of 2 high levels would do 8 brigades and lower moral before the fight started. I guess the Earth quake could cause retreat sooner. Guess I need to find out.

I think the summon death will probably be more effective and less risky now that you bring it up.
