I do like the idea of a True "Classic" version for nostalgic fans. Given the time and effort invested by the EE team to breath life back into it, I would think that it should be an option for all of those players who come back and want a crack at the RD or the DE. After all, most of us here joined for that very reason Wink

I do wonder if the term classic should be listed differently. To me, a classic game does not have the DE/AN or GN but does have PA,WE,NO,BA,UR,HA and SW.

Good point. Perhaps classic 2nd cycle then?

I have not seen 12 players wanting to play the pre-2013 version of the game yet. If Rick does decide to revive it...looks like it would be all Titan games with a few Warlord games scattered here and there.

It's a "complete package" question more than anything.

I like a number of aspects and elements of the pre-2013 game better than the current version.

But I also like (and have always liked from the beginning) quite a few of the new changes and enhancements.

And I LOVE the order checker and new format.

So for the sake of rolling back the complete package in a binary yes-or-no question, do I want to go back to the Clipper platform and make work for Cipher and the team?

Absolutely not!

Would I love to roll back some specific rules and changes? Absolutely. But I don't feel strongly enough about those specific rules and changes to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

I'd play games with the classic Kingdoms (1st Cycle) and the classic map even.
