I have a coupe questions...

Is everyone allowed to issue 2 orders above your influence?

On the map there are some spots that have land and water in the same square. How do I know if this is going to be a "sea" square or plains?

In the eastern steps, around Gundibar, what is that terrain? (need to know for troop movement)

Can you elaborate on order #699 Early send detachment from main group? Im confused at how this works? Does a patrol just have to have leaders (no brigades). Please send an example of how to write the order.

Thank you

1) Yes.

2) In the second to last post on the page below, there is an Excel sheet that lists the terrain type for every square.

3) Marsh/swamp.

4) You can have a group with just brigades and no leaders, no brigades and leaders (a.k.a. patrol), or both. You can send a detachment with 699 or 702 as follows:

699 1DW 4DW - - L -

This will take inactive group 4DW and create it in the same square as 1DW, which will lose its lowest military leader, which will now be in the new 4DW patrol.

Yes you can have up to 4 standing order to start out.

You can use 3 more per region owned.

Besides setting up standing orders to train an agent or recon a city, are there some other clever standing orders at the beginning ?

There is a thread somewhere specifically talking about good standing orders.

I think one of the best standing order is likely 480 because if you choose to raise reaction levels you can issue a 470 or even a 475 for defense and it will take place before your 480 standing order and cause the 480 order to not happen that turn.

600 is another common standing order but may be a bit costly early in the game.   a 600 order for gold will pay for itself in 5 turns.  I normally only issue this order on sea towns or villages that are likely to become or already are my capital.

in the early game it is good if you can find a few standing orders as they effectively allow you to do more things with your turn

a standing order that is free but can help from time to time is 730.  this is normally more useful for mage kingdoms but you never know when your not going to move a group and it is nice for it to goto into hiding.  236 is another good order but only for Trolls

It this specific game a standing order of 210 for a small gold amount could be good. you know you will get on the council at some point so may as well make it a standing order. if your removed later you will get back on in a two turns.

JF has given some good ones. But for T1, you've already hit on the two most common (888/970 and 500), so well-done! Smile

The turn, being due at noon today, I'd like to know when do they run it and when should we expect the results?
