This is the only game so far I have played that felt personal. The troll made choices that he might or might not want back, the GI wanted the WI out early. (Who can blame him as a natural enemy). I feel so far the WI has played a really good game but with no delusions about winning it's not over yet but for my part 173 will not carry over to future games we play to win but please don't take it personal unless deserved.
I'd have to agree here.
It may just be this specific type of game, but there has been little if any fun in this game for me.
And of all the variants I have had the pleasure to play in, this has to be the least enjoyable in my opinion.
The wizard kingdoms start out slow enough as it is and this variant's additional limits do not help in any way.
I do not believe I will return to this type of game.

RD here. I know some of you want this game to end quickly and I'm trying to help out in that regard (by winning on turn 20 or 21) but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon. I moved into Amberland as my final region to take on the GI-WA but instead of the GI pulling out of Oakendell to fight me in his home region (which I was hoping would happen), several other kingdoms jumped in against me and are helping out the GI-WA (e.g., AN,DE,DW,WI in particular so I'm going against 6 kingdoms now). I know some of you were counting on me to end things but this game won't end soon by me because I got some bad guys to teach a lesson

I would love to help you out and have been fighting two of those kingdoms. However, the DW somehow got the GN to fight his battles for him and to turncoat to support the kingdoms who actually invaded Runnimede. Oh well, fighting GN now instead of us doing what really should be done in this game.

I had never played the Demon Princes before, but find them pretty powerful. I had a war of attrition with the Gnomes, then the Dwarves invaded, and then the Red Dragon was on the verge of winning, and according to most, will. So I am just doing my part to not be a stander-by and try to prolong the game and maybe change destiny. I'm not sure why some are not happy with this game, or why it gets put on the format in general. Its not like the Red Dragon has been rampant, check Valhalla.

Well, I'm having fun in this game. I wished the BL didn't drop though, we would have had a decent battle at Vanasheen a few turns back. The problem that I have now is that I don't know which one of the six I should go after? The AN who's denigrating me, the WI who showed up at Evanon with a patrol of wizards to knock off my leaders/wizards, the DW who appears to be backstabbing me a bit in taking over my Talking Mountains' pcs, or the DE who is invading my 3rd region under control. Or continue attacking the GI-TR-WA holdings. Tough decision...

Just curious which PCs I have taken? I could start if you like. do you even read the email account you made just for this game? I do not backstab so please do not start yet another false rumor about me.
I find the game itself fun actually but the forums for this game do kind of suck. Vball back to whining, just waiting for his toady not even in the game to chime in again. Vball are you really that out of touch with this game to see what is happening and how things are unfolding.
anyway my little dwarven troops have been in R3, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R10 not to bad for my stubby little legs that could.

Actually I should have 4 warlords but a marshal died conquering a town a few turns back. Wish I had the 3rd Cycle Healing trait (gives killed figures a "saving throw" to survive)..

(UN) Yep, whining. I just don't like it when your mentored student (GN) turns coat on the other guy in his own region (UN) who helped him take his region and who was helping him defend that region against two invaders (DW and DE). Somehow, you get Cloud to help you (his natural enemy) attack the UN even while you are invading that same region. Nice, we call that diplomacy. And that is after you initiated the first unprovoked attack and the invasion.
Yep, I whined. And yep, I will stick to anon games.
I do see what is unfolding now, but sadly I am embroiled in a war with the Gnome that makes no sense and helps neither of us because you got him to do that whole backstabbing thing. And yes, forum conversations like this one stink and make the game even less fun. Again, a benefit of anon games.
