If you are investingating an encounter and your group has the Wand or the Rod do you need to issue order 139 for you wizard to go with the group in order to use the artifact in the encounter?
This is assuming you are not casting spell 101 on the encounter.
Thanks!

I was kind of curious why these give less bonus than weapon artifacts. I think making them special giving a higher bonus would be good. for sure not worth any code mods but just curious.

Artifacts are attached to the group, not a particular figure, so just have the group investigate normally with 140. Artifacts like the Ring of Spells (+1 to highest wizard in group) are also just connected to the group. That's why you can have your highest wizard teleport into another group but the Ring of Spells remains with the former group.

Gives me another question. Would a dragon group get a weapon artifact bonus for US even though they can not use them in combat? I have seen dragon groups running around with swords figured just to protect them from theft

Remember, artifacts are powerful magical items, they conform to the user much like how the One Ring in Lord of the Rings reduced itself to fit a human when it dropped from Sauron. So the Sword of Alvinitar may become a sharp talon covering for a dragon or a toothpick for a Halfling...

The player aid tool was created with specifications provided by Rick. If dragons can use weapon artifacts in sightings, Frost Lord should be provided those details.
