Hey Folks,
I'm back
Looking for an anonymous warlords game. Exploratory. Draft. Winner only by control of six regions. No communications at all, including no declaring alliances outside your own kingdoms (sometimes used as a signal of non-aggression)
Look forward to playing again with everyone.

OK, I think I'm up for this as well. My suggestion would be to use the rules in the current Team game thread, which are as follows:
Absolutely no communication outside of your own team
Teams are completely anonymous, you will only know your own team composition
No ally declarations, trades, or HC issues that help anyone outside of your own team
An enemy declaration of your own teammate is OK for the purposes of subterfuge
Once declared, no re-declaring an enemy neutral or ally UNLESS it's your own teammate (i.e. you're giving up the subterfuge)
Since we're trying to maximize secrecy in this game, I propose that all HC issues should be secret ballot
Also, no drops before T20
It would be a random draw for teams A-D, and prior selections would be known.
1) A (12 points)
2) B (11 points)
3) C (10 points)
4) D (9 points)
5) C (8 points, total 18)
6) D (7 points, total 16)
7) B (6 points, total 17)
8) A (5 points, total 17)
9) D (4 points, total 20 points)
10) A (3 points, total 20 points)
11) B (2 points, total 19 points, one less total point for the benefit of the second-to-last pick)
12) C (1 point, total 19 points, one less total point for the benefit of the last pick)
Team A: Picks 1st, 8th, 10th
Team B: Picks 2nd, 7th, 11th
Team C: Picks 3rd, 5th, 12th
Team D: Picks 4th, 6th, 9th

Mad I was way back when. Passed over control to another player early on (can't remember exactly when but probably within the first couple of turns)

Just for clarity, LD, now that you've had a chance to read it over and consider it, would you be up for helping us draft in this fashion in the future? Assuming the other two players who ultimately join are OK with it, that is. Thanks!

Yes, I will help you draft this way in the future. My only qualm is the amount of time it takes to email a single player and wait for a reply before emailing the next player. Not every player sits in front of his computer and replies quickly. I much prefer doing it in rounds.
If you want me to perform a custom draft, this is what I want from you.
An email to ded127@aol.com with CLEAR instructions, email addresses, and expectations. Please do not expect me to read through a dozen or so (sometimes contradictory) Forum posts to determine what you have in mind. Also, I am not very good at remembering which persona belongs to which email address. if you can make that clear as well, it would be appreciated.
Lord Diamond
Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

That is all very reasonable, and should be very doable. Thanks!

I think HH is talking about the his draft format, not the recent...unpleasantness where everyone needs to see the list before deciding. Way I understand it, would be like old days: everyone submits their four choices for that particular round and go from there. Just the picking order would be different.
