My vote is the game itself wins by a mutual concession of its players by turn 5.

If like previous Titan games and the game is conceded by T7 or so, I like Will's Assembly. Not completely factored in is how the 3 dummy positions affect matters. I think actually now that I review those spots, the non-selection of the Gnome works hard against Will and I commented on that sort of thing in discussion with Cipher earlier on whether this variant should be offered. Who on Will's side is going to take Runnimede, a nice region. I'm interested in the thinking of no one claiming the Gnomes. But then, how will Thanatos stop control of the Talking Mountains with no Dwarves involved? The third excluded kingdom, the Trolls, might be in part to the fact neither player expects the game to last past T10. Each turn past turn 7, I give Thanatos ever increasing chances, starting at 50% then. Say increase it 5% per turn then, so by Turn 10 its 65% likely Lord Thanatos wins. Its over by Turn 15 I think in any case - and more likely before T10 outside of outright stubbornness. I think I'm most interested in seeing how the major flux's in political vs. military power play out. Might be having both the Ancient Ones and Demon Princes is tough to beat, and then having the Underworld to back them up. But it would be nice to fund them with Dwarves and Gnomes.

The GI/RD is equally tough to beat...
Thanatos has nothing militarily that matches up and his SO is surrounded. The long game could go to Will and his WA position.

Turn 3 results are in a few minutes ago and since we did promise to post regarding the progress in this Titan contest I thought I would give a few bits of information. Morgan Kane will certainly post soon, I think.
Teams: LT = AN, DE, EL, SO, UN, WI MK = BL, DA, GI, RA, RD, WA HC: DA, AN, DE Regions controlled turn 3: Oakendale = EL The Northern Mists = WI The Eastern Steppes = DA Cities controlled: Lorethane - EL Viperhead - WI Zabzanka - human Meridon - AN Avalon - neutral Zarathon - human Evanon - human Gurisek - human Cradia - human Triesa - GI Almaren - human Vanasheen - WA WA is moving into Southern Sands, while BL attempts Runnimede. GI incursion in Arcania. DA in Steppes, RA in Synisvania and RD in Talking Mountains. My kingdoms are, of course, exactly where you would expect them to be! RA moved onto SO capital turn 2 and slept the SO king. The attack by the 1RA against the 1SO was prevented by an Ancient Intervention spell and the SO wizards slew the highest ranking RA wizard. 1RA began to siege the SO capital. Had a couple emissaries bounce off neutral kingdom armies, but such is life. Trade takes an extra order, but otherwise no problems. I am starting to remember some of the Alamaze things I had forgotten, but old age sure sucks... The first three turns certainly could have gone worse for me, so I am not too disappointed in unfolding events. Morgan Kane certainly has a HUGE early game advantage, so I am trying to blunt that where I can while attempting to survive with every odds maker and commentator on these Forums predicting my certain doom! Stay tuned....

I noticed the other Titan game players have selected team names.
Therefore, my team name shall be "Legacy of Terror (LT)." "Legacy of Terror" = (LT) AN, DE, EL, SO, UN, WI "Kane's Really Angry People" = (KRAP) BL, DA, GI, RA, RD, WA Will can, of course, select a more suitable (if possible) moniker at his convenience...

I think The Odds Maker said something like: "Each turn past turn 7, I give Thanatos ever increasing chances, starting at 50% then. Say increase it 5% per turn then, so by Turn 10 its 65% likely Lord Thanatos wins." I'm interested in this contest mainly for the huge contrast in kingdoms. It is, boiled down to elemental soup, military vs. everything else. I wouldn't recommend many mortals try to manage the entire Legacy of Terror lineup - could lead to a brain aneurism. Not to mention lots of mistakes. Oh, thanks for the chuckles on the team names.
