Game changes

Just an observation on the new map and some of the new changes. I am playing the troll for the first time on the new map and it seems there are a lot of nerfs coming in. I looked at valhalla to see if the troll is winning too many games, but they are middle of the pack. So far for the troll, I see several changes that hurt their kingdom:

1. Only 1 city in Torvale. Now the AN and TR have to negotiate for the split of a much smaller region.
2. With the twists, all kingdoms get 2 orders more than normal, the troll gets 1.
3. The recent nerf to influence loss when hiring emmissarries.


I also see on valhalla, that the demon prince is number 1 all time. It seems the addition of 2 cities into arcania is a huge boon to the DE.


I like change and will have fun playing the troll for the first time no matter what, I'm just curious what the thought process is for some of these changes.

I'm guessing that grouping the two city regions into the center of the map is simply a move to favor those kingdoms that can be attacked from all sides. It also makes it more enticing for peripheral kingdoms to move there (risk/reward) which should make the game more dynamic.

Those two cities in Arcania simply invite in other kingdoms. I am facing that in 122. Now that people know that those two cites are there, I think rare will be the game where the DE gets those without anybody else demanding one of them. The RA and UN could both make a strong case that they should have one of them if the DE doesn't want war.
