Im ok with all of the above new charges except for the initial name change fee. I feel like that should be covered in the game setup fee that we pay. If I had to pay $5 to change names, alamaze would be missing some of its finest emissaries such as:
- Princess KevinDusi
- Baroness Alimony
- Baron AxleRose
- Envoy Worthless
- King Seal Clubber
- Gov UncleMike
- Prince Purple Reign
- Priestess PoleDncer
- Prince Trustfund
- Agent 1 ZZtop
- Duke Chebaka
and last, but not least, my 3 consuls from 110- Jesus, Buddah, & Allah.
The list is long and distinguished, & probably would not have existed for $20 worth of fees.

I spotted Agent 1 ZZtop doing a recon of my city and had them put to death. How did you think they would be able to hide with those ridiculous beards?

As a person who's guilty of multiple submissions, I've no problem with the fee changes.

As I said before these are not over the top fees by any measure. And I for one am happy to incur them when needed or wanted. I for one want to see this game prosper. It will not survive on some 100 accounts.
We as a member base should actively be trying to find new players, and when new player hit the game we should not jump on new players just because they are new and "easy" COUGH COUGH 122 COUGH COUGH.
Seriously these fee work out to only 20 an hour, where I live that is barley making a living. So the Fees are fine and work on those referrals!!
I did learn one thing from my "mentor".

Who in 122 is new and being being piled on by experienced players? I'd be very interested in knowing, as that is something that, for the most part, has been actively discouraged by the veteran group. Edit: Of course, I'm assuming it's a pile-on and not a 1v1.

Not a pile on. Both new players received not one starting email for diplomacy, all theirs were ignored, but one, and that player gave ultimatum, to leave the region all together or die. After a slow start by one, he was invaded by two separate kingdom, not working together.
I was hoping to see a lot more Help for the new players like I received in game 119, but it didn't happen. One of my referrals might not play again, the other will.

120 and 121 are my first games. And yes, 4 players are invading my Dwarf position in 121. Not sure if they are working together. I am not complaining. I expect to be on the good end of a gang-up at some point. But, it might be nice to have some sort of limits or immigration laws or something to limit such grouping. Maybe an anonymous game could help solve this some. This does seem off-topic on fees, but does follow W's post.

I think I've responded to everyone who's e-mailed me in 122. I haven't been quite as active as I have historically with pro-active e-mails to people, because the game happened to start during a busy time for me (so much so that I didn't even realize Dusi was playing BL until a couple of turns in).
But I do have a standing offer for orders and strategy and tactics advice for any new player, whether I'm in the game or not. And I have managed to connect with two or three newer players so far in 122, and I think I've been able to help.
