I've always put realname/fancycodename... so not sure it is overly important, so long as you get one of those correct.
As a reminder for turn 1:
Do your recons (consider standing orders)
Make sure you are friendly in your region
Don't forget order 991
Check and double-check orders
If you change your king's name, put it in the subject line of the email to activegames so that they catch it

Hi Kevindusi ,
Couple more questions on things that were not really clear from the rules.
1) When casting spells or moving wizards from group to group, I know we can either use their name or power level when filling out the orders. When using their power level: Does it go Power 1 wizards are represented by 1, Power 2 are represented by 2, etc? How about Adepts then? What number should we use for them?
2) Sea Movement: What happens if my group wants to move over 2 sea squares and say 2 land squares in a single turn. Does that mean I have to fill out both a 710 (sea movement) and a 720 (group movement)?
3) If my group is at sea at the beginning of the turn, and the next hex I want to move into is a land hex (adjacent to the sea hex i am currently in). Do I fill out a 710 or 720 ?
thanks again for the help

Label your email subject line as:
148_EL_T1
Your Excel form will have just 1 (without the T) in the cell for turn number.
Use all caps.
Send your orders on the Excel form to activegames@alamaze.co. Do not sort your orders or use the move command, check the second sheet, the ingest tab, to make sure it has content and does not say "ref" (meaning you moved or sorted your orders), or is blank (meaning you are not using a recognized software).
Keep using your mentor. Some of this stuff seems a bit daunting for a couple turns but then becomes second nature. Of course, we are hoping to move to a new web-based system in a few turns....

Another thing on the order entry sheet, if you save it, you CAN NOT reopen to adjust anything. You must start over with a new downloaded sheet from the site, fresh. For some reason this upsets the ingest tab, at least it does for me.
