Sounds like you guys have the right of it... but if not shoot me an email - kdusi13@gmail.com
I check on here as often as I can, but the email goes straight to the phone so gets faster response times!

Note that I've never had issues with this. I use the same order entry sheet that I first downloaded when I joined and played in game 102, and have never had an issue.
However, from what I understand, those using an older version of MS office or Open Office will run into issues and Usurper is right to recommend that a new copy is used each turn.
Ry Vor has posted that the online submission is weeks away and this will likely revolutionize how we approach each turn. I know several people (Morgan Kane, for example) that would love to input 18 different variations of their orders each turn. This new system will allow them to do that. I also know of several people (me) that have yet to give the online order checker a try because we're stubborn folks.
I guess the point is... find what works for you and stick with it. That's going to be something different for each person.

That's a deep subject
The web based order entry will be tested, with at least one live game before it becomes the only way to submit orders.
It is not ready yet. When it is, we will start something the Halflings call "marketing".

Hmmm, already sent my turn in, didn't know about the saving might mess up the turn sheet thing. Hope mine will be ok.

Send your orders on the Excel form to activegames@alamaze.co. Do not sort your orders or use the move command, check the second sheet, the ingest tab, to make sure it has content and does not say "ref" (meaning you moved or sorted your orders), or is blank (meaning you are not using a recognized software).
My ingest sheet has rows, but nothing in the rows (no words, numbers, etc.) Is that what you mean by blank?

Due to requests, I currently have two of four players in this game setup to use the new order validator program that you may use to check your orders before sending in your turns (by emailing your Excel file).
Access here:
http://fallofromegame.com/alamazeorders/
If anyone else wants in before the first turn is run, let me know your username/password (send to trolls146.alamaze@gmail.com) and I'll quickly set you up to use it. That includes you Dusi if you want to see what it's all about
-------------------
Forgot to mention that since Cipher is in the process of copying files between directories on the server, a warning message may display that your previous file wasn't loaded [if the file is not there yet] and only general order syntax is possible. When all game files are properly copied over to the web site directory, you won't see that message anymore and the software will be able to perform greater error checking for you (e.g., emissary names, group locations, ...etc.).

As one of the two, I'd like to say this tool was invaluable,
I thought I'd been really careful with my orders, but it found no less than 5 mistakes I'd made.
Kudos to UncleMike for making this available!

Thanks for the reply.
BTW, I just noticed at the end of game 148's turn 0 PDF file, it states to use order #992 to set your ESO objectives. Don't do this but use order #991 instead with your first turn's orders. My program would have caught this error for you but only 3 out of 5 players in this game are using my software so I wanted to give the other two a heads up of the turn 0 misprint.

Overall quite handy on the order checker! I'd recommend to the other players to give it a go, definitely, especially if this is the way of the future.
