Teams are pretty much pre set in their respected regions,  mentor games each team will have 1 mentor or team leader and he does the draft for his team.

Many times players form up to create for teams then the captains with input from there teammates drafts kingdoms.   For mentor games there will be one experienced player on each team to help the newer players learn.   I find team games to be the best mentor type games because the mentor has a real stake in the game as well.

No real restrictions though it is better to follow the standard choosing rules of one kingdom per zone/dispersed.   Teams can end up scattered but that can be the nature of the draft.

Another way sometimes the kingdom groupings area preset and each team then picks what preset team they would like.

Most of these are with 4 teams of three players each.  They use all 10 regions and also 2 dispersed positions.

Team a. 1, 5, 12
Team b. 2, 8, 10
Team c. 3, 6, 11
Team d. 4, 7, 9
